There is much you can do to improve your sleep time and sleep quality. Below we are listing 8 ways to help you sleep better:

 

  • Silk pillow case: Silk pillows are not only good for coarse unruly hair. It also supports the skin to retain moisture versus other harsher pillow fabrics. Silk pillow feels so soft and silk-like. that you may have child-like sleep on it.
  • A night mask: An appropriate night mask helps you relax your eyes. The one’s with magic herbs and ingredients are trending nowadays are very effective.

 

Some eye masks are filled with dried flowers, herbs etc. which apply the perfect amount of pressure to my eyes and stays cold for about 15-20 minutes   once out of the freezer. Sleeping masks help in  headaches as well.

 

  • Air purifying plants: Adding air-purifying plants to your bedroom. Indoor plants like aloe Vera, Snake Plant or Mother-in-Law’s Tongue, English Ivy, Money Plant etc. are good.
  • Thumb and face massage: Before we even notice, our thumb joints pain from using too much phone, eyes become tired, dry and sore wearing contacts for too long or make up in some cases so is our skin. Little relaxation is what will calm everything down and bring back the balance.
  • Warm shower before bed: If you had a hectic day or had evening work-put routine, warm bath or shower is what your body needs. Add epsom salt to your shower gel or to your bath and it is guaranteed to give you a good night sleep.

  • Almond oil trick: Try applying almond oil on your eyelids. It makes eyes feel heavy and droopy. And you are asleep before you even know it.
  • 4-7-8 Mantra – Breathe in for 4 seconds and hold that breath for 7 seconds and try to release it in 8 long seconds. Do this for 3-4 times or more. This is sure shot way to fall asleep. While releasing  the breathe, your body actually goes in sleep state each time.
  • Foods to eat for better sleep: Chamomile tea tops the list ito help you sleep faster. Also other foods such as warm milk, yogurt, kiwis, walnuts, salmon, tuna, bananas, oats are sleep Friendly. cashews, flax seeds, Pumpkin seeds are also known to aid in good sleep quality. Foods to avoid – Heavy meals, Spicy food, high protein foods, alcohol, fatty foods and caffeine.
