Today was the day I finally could do dry brushing. Also I finished my research for a body scrub that works. I kind of instantly realized when the formula was right, that it’s going to work. I did a three step body cleansing while taking bath. Starting with the Dry brush to body polish to shower gel. I am feeling so light, so positive and fresh right now. Let me write about dry brush today and will share recipe of body scrub in next post.
Dry Brushing is a technique used before the shower for exfoliating the skin, removing toxins and improving blood circulation.
So the magic began when I opened my travel bag today and found a cute dry brush for the body. You can buy it at any departmental store as well as online. I got mine as a gift during my travels. I am putting it to a good use!!
How to do Dry-brushing on your body
-
Before the shower, when the body is dry, Start with legs, do not press the brush too hard.
-
Move the brush in clockwise directions
-
Brush the limbs first, then move to back and stomach
-
Then do that gently towards your heart.
-
You can do dry brushing once every 2-3 days.
-
Follow this with a shower gel and then pat it dry
-
You can then moisturize the whole body. I have dry body, I apply coconut oil all over to get that extra glow.
It has number of benefits. Some are listed below:
-
Dry brushing stimulates the lymphatic system
-
It exfoliates dead cells away.
-
Toxic element, free radical try to associate with our body, dry brushing gets rid of them.
-
This increases circulation
-
It is known to reduce cellulite but I am not sure it can help 100%. It definitely improves the look of the skin overtime.
-
I wish more people knew about dry brushing technique, It actually helps get rid of toxins, negative vibes, fatigue, hard metals, dirt and pollution. Your body feels rejuvenated immediately.
